This morning I decided to get some more dirt to fill in a parking area for one of the cars. Instead of getting out our 420 Ford industrial loader I decided to play with the 2210. I took the landscape rake off the three point and attached the fel. I got lined up for some digging, lowered the fel, engaged 4wd, shifted into lo, set the engine speed at 2500 rpm and pushed the pedal. The tractor moved about a foot and a loud noise came from the tractor sounding like the hydraulic pump was cavatating. I yanked back on the throttle and shut her down. I checked the hydraulic fluid level - ok. Started and again made same noise. Shut her down again. Upon further investigation I found pieces of white plastic on the ground under the tractor. The cooling fan for the hydro had hit something and come apart at 10.1 hrs. I called the dealer and they said that they would order a new fan and send someone to fetch the tractor. They picked her up arond 3pm.

It's a good thing nobody got pictures of me draging her back to the shed with the B8200 Bota. The Bota boys would have had grins from ear to ear.

As soon as they let me know what caused the fan to break up, I will post.

The BX has the same fan. Always thought the BX and the 2210 were two peas in the same pod, now I know it. ....

I also have a Cub Cadet 2135 and a 982 Hydro. The 982 Hydro vintage about 1982 has the same fan only in black. Probably have to blame IH for the hole mess. ....

Those fans on both of the subcompacts seem to be having some trouble with the low ground clearence. It might be a good call or time to be sure that you chose the right tractor. ....

I have been very busy and havn't had time to get back until now. The 2210 was returned Monday mornining all fixed. The mechanic said he could find nothing loose only that the fan was closer than the 1/4" spec. to the deck acuating shaft. It appears that the whole problem was factory improper assembly. ....
